Gastroenterologist - Los Angeles Christian Health Centers

We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team at Los Angeles Christian Health Centers. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive medical care to patients with acute and chronic illnesses, including those with substance use disorders and mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform evaluations and treatments of patients in the outpatient setting, assessing medical needs and compiling care plans.
- Prescribe medications and treatments, and perform in-office procedures such as incision and drainage, arthrocentesis, and skin biopsy.
- Consult with patients to understand their health concerns, and perform specialized tests to diagnose patients.
- Determine proper courses of treatment, and consult with primary doctors and other specialists as needed.
- Analyze patient historical data, and keep accurate and concise documentation of all medical history, exam findings, assessment, treatment/interventions, and education.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide whole-person care, and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
- Meet productivity standards, and serve as a subspecialist in patient care or as a primary care physician for a panel of patients.
- Medical degree and completion of a three-year internal residency and a three-year gastroenterology fellowship.
- Attainment of certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine, and proficiency in performing endoscopic and colonoscopy procedures.
- Proficiency with X-Rays, MRIs, and ultrasound scanning, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
