About the Role:
Cassia is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Full-Time Staff Development Manager / Infection Control Nurse. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive education to our staff, overseeing safety and infection control initiatives, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards related to staff training and credentialing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement infection control protocols across the organization.
- Conduct quality assurance evaluations of nursing documentation and practices to guarantee compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Assist in the preparation for regulatory surveys.
- Continuously educate staff through participation in workshops, seminars, and relevant courses.
- Oversee the onboarding process and ongoing educational requirements for nursing personnel.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create educational resources and maintain accurate training records.
- Establish staff development and clinical competency programs using effective adult learning strategies.
- Identify quality issues and propose enhancements to the Director of Nursing.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota.
- Completion of Nursing Home Infection Prevention training through the CDC.
- Prior experience in long-term care settings is essential.
- Current CPR instructor certification or the ability to obtain it upon hire.
- Strong clinical expertise and familiarity with long-term care regulations.
- Experience in managing safety programs is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a solid attendance record.
- Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
