Welder - Fabrication Specialist

Labor Finders is seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for cutting and joining metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites.

• Plan and Execute Fabrication Projects: Read blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures, and take or read measurements to ensure accurate execution.
• Operate Welding Equipment: Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements, and set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Inspect and Test Work: Align components using calipers, rulers, etc., and clamp pieces together. Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions, and test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws.
• Maintain Equipment and Safety: Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety, and adhere to relative safety standards and use protective clothing as required.

• Proven Experience: Proven experience as a welder, with experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA, etc.).
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings, and proficiency in English.
• Education and Certifications: Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required, and professional certification (e.g., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus.
