Welding Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Welder to contribute to our team's success. As a Welder, you will play a vital role in creating robust infrastructure by cutting and joining metals and other materials at our facilities or construction sites.

• Interpret blueprints and drawings to plan layout and procedures effectively
• Determine the most suitable welding equipment or method based on project requirements
• Set up components for welding according to specifications and quality standards
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding, ensuring precision and safety
• Align components using calipers, rulers, etc. and clamp pieces securely
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions, adhering to quality control measures
• Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps, maintaining equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
• Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify any flaws or defects

• Proven experience as a welder with a strong track record of quality work
• Proficiency in using a variety of welding equipment and procedures, including electrical and manual tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing, maintaining a safe working environment
• Deftness and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
• Proficient in English, with excellent communication skills
• Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
• Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) is highly valued
