Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to transport live animals
  • Ensure the humane and safe handling of animals during transportation
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities
  • Communicate and coordinate with farms and processing plants to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
Requirements:
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • At least 21 years old
  • Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • Minimum of 1 year of verifiable CDL driving experience
  • Ability to handle and restrain animals
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of professionalism
Benefits:
  • Insurance coverage will begin on the first day of the month after you have been employed for 60 days
  • Weekly premiums for employee-only coverage: $12.00 for CDHP and $35.00 for traditional
  • Weekly premiums for employee and spouse coverage: $31.00 for CDHP and $90.00 for traditional
  • Weekly premiums for employee and child(ren) coverage: $24.00 for CDHP and $70.00 for traditional
  • Weekly premiums for family coverage: $36.00 for CDHP and $105.00 for traditional
  • Group dental insurance: $4.90 per week for single coverage and $15.36 per week for family coverage
  • Group vision insurance: $1.77 per week for single coverage and $3.81 per week for family coverage
  • Life insurance coverage: $15,000, paid 100% by the company
  • 401K retirement plan: 100% match of the first 2% contributed by the company
  • Vacation days: one week after one and two years of service, two weeks after three to nine years of service, and three weeks after ten or more years of service
