Job Description:
The Medical Social Worker (MSW) will support patient service activities and provide social service counseling and guidance to facilitate maximum function and coping capacity of each patient and family member. The MSW will also provide bereavement counseling to family members as identified.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A graduate of a Master program in social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred but not required.
- Minimum of one year experience in healthcare, hospice experience preferred.
- Understanding of hospice philosophy and issues related to death and dying.
- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills.
- Possesses current CPR certification.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile insured in accordance with state or organizational requirements and in good working order.
- Bilingual Chinese/English speaking welcomed but not required.

Pay Rate and Benefits:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $72,000 - $90,000 based on relevant work experience and qualifications. Regular visits: $100, Initial Psychosocial and Bereavement assessment: $150. We offer employee benefits including Paid Sick Leave and 401K retirement plan with optional company matching.
