Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at University HealthCare Alliance. As an LVN II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Assist the patients' care team in implementing the plan of care for the patient in a collaborative and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Perform routine screenings and place orders for patients who are due for quality measures program point of care testing in a timely, accurate and efficient manner according to policy and procedure.
  • Administer ordered medications and vaccines in a safe, accurate, professional and timely manner following policies and procedures.
  • Document appropriate information clearly, accurately and in a timely manner, according to department and UHA policies and procedures.
  • Participate in departmental duties to ensure OSHA, infection control and accrediting body compliance.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or GED.
  • Experience in ambulatory care environment preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
  • Basic Windows skills to include keyboarding, mouse movement and computer data entry skills to enter patient information.
  • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology/anatomy and EMR systems.
  • Ability to work with others in a flexible, cooperative and collaborative manner.
