Counselor III

At Life Center of Galax, we are dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Counselor III to join our team and help individuals achieve long-term recovery.

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions, documenting patient progress and needs.
• Evaluate patient needs and determine referrals to other programs or facilities as necessary.
• Facilitate group and family sessions, assisting with problem behavior modification.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for assigned patients.
• Provide counseling services to families of patients, ensuring comprehensive support.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
• Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients, providing crisis intervention as needed.
• Plan for aftercare and coordinate with insurance carriers as requested.
• Provide case management duties, ensuring individualized quality care.
• May assist in training new clinical staff and interns, providing clinical guidance.
