About the Role
Bioinformatics Programmer at University of California

In this role, you will work closely with researchers to develop and apply advanced computational methods to analyze large datasets and solve complex scientific problems. You will design and implement innovative research tools and solutions, leveraging your expertise in HPC hardware and software, data science, and cyberinfrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, data science, and statistics, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize algorithms for high-performance computing systems and technologies
- Design and implement innovative research tools and solutions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer / Computational / Data Science, or Domain Sciences with computer / computational / data specialization or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of experience in computation science, data science, statistics, or related field, with computer, computational, and/or data management experience

This is an hourly position with an estimated salary range of $36.49-$76.05.
