Grooming Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Grooming Technician to join our team at Tractor Supply Company. As a Grooming Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional grooming services to our furry friends, while also learning and developing your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Enroll and complete the Paragon training program for Level 1 (Groom Tech) within the required timeline of five weeks.
- Provide safe and gentle pet handling, bathing, drying, brushing, and combing services for dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
- Trim nails, clean ears, and perform basic clipper techniques and finishing techniques.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that every pet owner feels valued and satisfied with our services.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in generating business by calling existing and new customers, scheduling appointments, and verifying vaccinations.
- Maintain accurate records of pet clients, including services provided and vaccination records.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be comfortable working with dogs and cats, demonstrating patience and compassion for animals.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately to complete all documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and customers.
- Ability to lift and move equipment and merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
Our working environment is favorable, with moderate noise levels. You will be exposed to sharp grooming instruments, perfumed shampoos and soaps, pets, and pet waste. You will also be exposed to wet conditions, particularly when bathing dogs. You will work in a fast-paced environment, with varying shifts and hours.
