Position Summary
Reporting directly to the VP of Strategic Projects, this role is pivotal in overseeing the execution of substantial projects related to abrasive blasting and protective coating facilities. Responsibilities encompass the design and construction of facilities, along with the installation and commissioning of equipment supplied by BlastOne. Project values will typically range from $5 million to $50 million.
Key Responsibilities
- Take personal accountability for project delivery, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Act as the primary liaison between BlastOne and clients, fostering trust and confidence.
- Meticulously manage the overall project budget, including accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Evaluate, contract, and supervise general contractors and subcontractors.
- Lead the project team in a cohesive and positive manner, aligned with BlastOne's culture and values.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management, with relevant industrial experience.
- A minimum of 10 to 20 years of Project Management experience overseeing large-scale projects (valued at $5 million or more).
- Strong aptitude in Mechanical Engineering.
- Background in Design/Build Construction.
- Proven experience managing complex industrial construction and equipment projects.
- Technical proficiency and familiarity with industrial equipment and construction projects.
- Experience collaborating with C-Level executives in a professional context.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Comprehensive understanding of cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Capability to apply engineering principles to address construction challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Experience in process engineering and documentation is preferred.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and resolve issues promptly.
- Flexibility and agility in managing change.
- Basic knowledge of electrical circuits and pneumatics is advantageous.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple subcontractors effectively.
