Job Summary:
The Surgical Services Registered Nurse at Delray Medical Center works collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia personnel, and other healthcare team members to determine the patient's individual needs preoperatively and is responsible and accountable for the delivery of clinical nursing care and utilization of the nursing process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Conduct preoperative assessments and provide education to patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Florida RN license
• AHA BLS Certification
• PALS Certification
• Prior clinical experience in surgical services preferred
• CNOR Certification preferred
