Music therapy is a therapeutic approach that utilizes musical interventions to meet individual goals within a supportive relationship. New Wave Wellness is in search of qualified music therapists to implement community-oriented strategies that promote physical, social, and emotional health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with clients to incorporate music into their everyday activities
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and community partners to enhance autonomy
  • Encourage wellness, self-expression, and social interaction while alleviating stress and discomfort
  • Facilitate improvements in memory, motor skills, and academic support

Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License and dependable transportation
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music Therapy from an accredited institution
  • Board Certification (MT-BC), along with CPR/AED and First Aid certifications
  • Capability to work independently and successfully complete background checks

Compensation:

Hourly rate ranges from $50 to $57, depending on experience.
