Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Garden Center Merchandising Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining visually appealing displays of outdoor plants, ensuring proper signage and maintaining a safe and clean display area. You will also be responsible for interacting with store personnel and customers, developing a positive working relationship with store management and associates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and display a variety of outdoor plants
  • Create and maintain product displays
  • Water all plant materials
  • Develop a watering plan with the floral department manager for additional support as needed
  • Ensure proper signage is in place
  • Maintain a safe and clean display area
  • Remove and record expired plant material
  • Interact with store personnel and customers
  • Develop a positive working relationship with store management and associates
  • Complete reports for each store serviced
  • Document every visit using the Repsly app where available

Requirements

  • Must have a smart phone
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation
  • Work outdoors in all elements
  • Lift, push and carry up to 30 lbs repetitively
  • Understand and execute planograms
  • Use workplace mobile apps
  • Preferred experience in merchandising, retail, and/or customer service
  • Experience working at a garden center is a plus
