Project Engineer RoleThe Project Engineer is a critical member of our team, responsible for on-site project administration and management of office engineers and jobsite administrators. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, proficient use of project management tools, and strong communication skills.
The Project Engineer will work closely with stakeholders at all levels, negotiating with owners, suppliers, and trade partners to resolve disputes and manage changes. This position is ideal for individuals with a 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management, and a minimum of 2-4 years' experience on large commercial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the project manager and superintendents in accumulating necessary data and preparing monthly owner pay applications.
- Discover and resolve interface conflicts between the company and trade partners, as well as among trade partners.
- Assist in developing and managing the project schedule, cost control, and labor recap.
- Process and estimate potential change orders and requests for information.
- Assist in monthly margin analysis and update the project record using the Book of 14.
- Participate in jobsite safety meetings, weekly safety audits, and quality control plan implementation.
