Position Summary: The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions at the transfer station, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with safety and environmental standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Management: Direct and coordinate daily operations of the transfer station, ensuring seamless and efficient processes.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to operational workflows to boost productivity and effectiveness.
  • Data Analysis: Employ Microsoft Excel to monitor, analyze, and report on essential performance indicators and operational metrics.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Develop detailed reports and presentations for management, leveraging data insights to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Team Leadership: Guide and inspire staff, cultivating a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that facility operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve operational challenges, maintaining a focus on efficiency and minimal disruption.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure service quality and address any issues that arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of creating complex spreadsheets, analyzing data, and producing comprehensive reports.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Experience in generating and presenting data insights to support operational and strategic decisions.
  • Process Focused: Proven ability to develop and refine processes for optimal operational performance.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, often unpredictable environment with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.

Education & Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in operations management, ideally within the waste management, recycling, or manufacturing sectors.
