Laborer - Sewer Treatment Plant Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team at the Sewer Treatment Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing repair, maintenance, and cleaning of plant equipment, as well as operating light to medium power equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform repair, maintenance, and cleaning of plant equipment
  • Operate light to medium power equipment
  • Supervise lower-level employees

Working Conditions
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, both inside and outside, in all kinds of weather. They may be exposed to hazardous conditions, including traffic, noise, dirt, sewer gas, raw sewage, spiders, and snakes.

Requirements
  • Knowledge of manual tasks required for the area of work assignment
  • Knowledge of safety aspects of equipment, tools, etc.
  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of high school or equivalent
  • Experience in operating a grass tractor
  • Experience in laboring work providing familiarity with the area assignment
