Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team at Steamboat Ski Resort. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to a safe work philosophy.
  • Monitor building facilities for optimal operation and implement preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Perform electrical work, including repairs and installations.
  • Conduct general repair and maintenance of building surfaces, including drywall, paint, and coatings.
  • Operate a variety of tools, including electrical testers, amp probes, chart recorders, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
  • Purchase parts as needed, subject to company policy.
  • Maintain company-owned food and beverage equipment, including refrigeration, propane appliances, and electrical ovens.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and meet company driver insurability standards.
  • Knowledge of materials, equipment, and tools characteristic to facilities maintenance.
  • Three years of experience in general building repair and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial kitchen and bathroom appliances and fixtures repair and installation.
  • Experience with suppression systems, alarm systems, heating and ventilating systems, circulating pumps, and compressors.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage equipment, refrigeration maintenance, and repair, and plumbing.
  • Availability for home telephone contact after hours in case of a facility-oriented emergency.
  • Ability to follow instructions and perform tasks as delegated by the supervisor.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this job include walking, talking, seeing, hearing, and operating a computer and other office productivity machinery.

Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with occasional exposure to harsh and varying outside weather conditions.
