About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente in Lone Tree, Colorado. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures, adhering to strict aseptic technique and sterilization protocols.
  • Set up and maintain equipment, instruments, and supplies necessary for each surgical procedure, utilizing physician preference cards and departmental routines.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and meet the needs of patients and physicians throughout the procedure.
  • Utilize universal precautions and follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure patient safety.
  • Identify and report any malfunctioning equipment and promptly isolate and label it for repair.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technician program and registered with the State of Colorado as a Surgical Technician.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery operating room setting, with demonstrated competency with new equipment, technology, and procedures.
  • Basic Life Support certification within six months of hire and Surgical Technologist certification within six months of hire.
