Job Summary

Crown is a leading provider of oilseed extraction technology and refining plants, serving global customers across the Americas, Europe, and Asia. We are seeking a highly skilled Field Services Specialist to join our team at CPM Holdings, Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide expert technical assistance to customers and their contractors for the installation, operation, and maintenance of Crown equipment in the field.
  • Inspection Services: Conduct thorough inspections of Crown equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Preventative Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Shutdown Planning: Assist in planning and executing shutdowns to ensure smooth operations and minimize disruptions.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with the Global Quality Assurance Director and Regional Quality Specialists to ensure that fabricators meet quality, drawing, and code requirements.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate locally fabricated equipment and parts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to Crown and OSHA safety rules, as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of mechanical experience in equipment fabrication, installation, and/or checkout and startup.
  • Skills: Proficiency in millwright work, welding, inspection, rigging, and field repair; ability to interpret equipment drawings and schematics.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-motivated, able to collaborate across geographies and functions in a matrixed environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions
  • Approximately 50% of time spent in the office environment; approximately 50% spent in the plant environment.
  • Office environment conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Plant and fabrication environment conditions include some exposure to chemicals, hazardous materials, and noise, potential work at heights, in confined spaces, and in inclement weather conditions.
