Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Substitute/Aide in our Early Childhood Program. As a Substitute/Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of all children, assisting teachers/caregivers in implementing the classroom curriculum, and promoting school readiness and parent engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain visual and auditory supervision of children at all times, adhering to active supervision procedures.
  • Provide a welcoming environment for children and their family members, ensuring all classroom activities are developmentally appropriate and supportive of children's learning styles.
  • Assist teaching staff in implementing daily curriculum, interacting with children at their level to support learning opportunities and encourage problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in family-style meals, maintain a clean, safe, healthy learning environment, and perform daily visual checks to ensure safety.
  • Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of children, families, and co-workers, as well as maintaining professional boundaries in relationships with families and co-workers.
  • Support teaching staff in all center activities and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must be at least 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass background checks. You will also be required to attend all agency required training and maintain registry in MRTQ.

We offer a competitive pay range of $17.50 and a $250 sign-on bonus. Work hours must be flexible, with the ability to work at different sites with short notice.
