Job SummaryThe Speech Therapist will work with clients to assess and treat speech and language disorders, including articulation, voice, and fluency disorders. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology and one year of experience as a Speech Therapist. Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist is also required.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate clients' speech and language skills, development, articulation ability, and voice and fluency disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address clients' speech and language needs.
- Provide effective evaluations, documentation, and communication of medical information to clients, family members, and primary caregivers.
- Coordinate therapy modifications to the client's plan of care with the Director of Clinical Services and client's physician.
- Identify and develop intervention strategies to address clients' speech and language disorders.
- Review and document comprehensive evaluation reports to summarize tests utilized, results of test(s), and diagnosis of speech/hearing disorders.
- Report and record assessments, evaluations, therapy interventions, and patient changes according to physician orders and Sevita's policies.
- Master's degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology.
- One year of experience as a Speech Therapist.
- Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
