Job Description

The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care in a culturally sensitive manner. This role requires the ability to demonstrate proficiency and mastery of core competencies, including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver patient-family centered care utilizing evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.
  • Maintain current licensure and certification requirements, including Pediatric Advanced Life Support, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • RNs hired prior to specific dates are exempt from BSN requirements; however, those hired after these dates must complete a BSN within 5 years of hire date.
  • Completion of a preceptor class within 12 months of independent practice.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, or ONS may be required.
