Journeyman Truck Technician / Mechanic: A Career Opportunity

Pape' Kenworth, a leading medium and heavy-duty truck and equipment dealer in the West, is seeking a skilled Journeyman Level Truck Technician to join their team in Sacramento, CA.


As a Journeyman Truck Technician, you will work on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks in the shop, ensuring accurate and timely repairs to support our customers and maximize their uptime. Key Responsibilities:


  • Perform repairs and maintenance on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, including electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, utilizing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient and effective workflow, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements:


  • 5 or more years of experience working on medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including electronic troubleshooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in diagnostic tools.
  • Self-motivation, assertiveness, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one.
  • Must provide own tools.
