Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse to join our team at HumanEdge Allied Health in Central Connecticut. This is a 13-week contract opportunity with potential for extension.

This position requires a dedicated and compassionate nurse to work in the ED holding/observation unit, providing critical care to patients. As an ICU RN, you will be responsible for evaluating patient condition, administering medication, easing pain, encouraging activity, interpreting rhythm strips, monitoring labs, inserting IVs, performing wound care, and providing palliative treatment when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient condition and develop individualized care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor vital signs and lab results to ensure patient safety
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program
  • 1-2 years of experience in med-surg/tele nursing
  • EPIC experience strongly preferred
  • A valid CT RN license
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Proof of right to work in the United States
  • English proficiency
