Data Center Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Engineer to support our data center operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our data center infrastructure, ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Remote and Smart Hands Support: Provide remote and on-site technical support within the data center, performing hardware installations, decommissioning, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Monitoring and Issue Resolution: Monitor tickets and boards for daily issues or requests, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues reported by users, and maintaining detailed logs of activities and resolutions.
  • Critical Infrastructure Knowledge: Possess working knowledge of critical infrastructure components, including power, cooling, and network systems, and facilitate and participate in routine maintenance and issue resolution with vendors.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a data center or similar technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and operations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Data Center Technician Certification) are a plus.
Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift and handle heavy equipment.
  • Background check and security clearance may be required.
