Position Overview: As a Certified Veterinary Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional veterinary services to our patients while providing outstanding customer support to their owners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome clients and their pets, guiding them through the appointment process and documenting essential information in our electronic medical records.
  • Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and emergency situations, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Conduct patient restraint, collect laboratory samples, and manage medication under the supervision of veterinarians.
  • Schedule appointments, communicate effectively with clients, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures, monitoring their recovery and ensuring their comfort.
  • Administer in-hospital treatments, including medications and therapies, while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Participate in training new staff members and share knowledge to enhance team performance.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a college-level program in veterinary technology or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a veterinary setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and a willingness to learn new techniques.
  • A collaborative spirit and adaptability to change.
