We are seeking a committed individual to join our team as a Patient Care Technician. This role is essential in delivering compassionate and effective patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily physical and emotional support to patients, including assistance with bathing, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Respond promptly to patient call lights to ensure their needs are met in a timely manner.
- Assist licensed healthcare professionals as required.
- Accurately record vital signs, height, weight, intake, and output, adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, applying appropriate infection control measures.
- Recognize changes in patient conditions and seek assistance from licensed personnel when necessary.
- Facilitate patient transportation as needed.
- Contribute to the interdisciplinary healthcare team by providing valuable insights.
- Serve as a mentor for new Nurse Assistants, guiding them through their orientation.
- Utilize proper body mechanics to ensure safety during patient handling.
- Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communicating any issues to management as appropriate.
- Adhere to all attendance and punctuality policies.
- Participate in educational programs relevant to job responsibilities, enhancing professional development.
Working Conditions:
