Job Summary

Nuclear Medicine Technologist coordinates and performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and medical equipment. The professional adheres to protocols to provide images for physicians, identifying or planning treatment for patients' conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Meet OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and waste separation/disposal policies
  • Document daily calibrations, dose calibrator accuracy checks, hot lab surveys, pharmaceuticals dispensed, and radioactive source disposal
  • Practice safe radio nuclide handling and radiation procedures
  • Prepare and administer prescribed radiopharmaceuticals
  • Perform periodic quality control tests and document according to hospital policies
  • Demonstrate adherence to the CORE Values of CHRISTUS Health
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology school or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in clinical nuclear medicine setting required
  • 2 years of experience in clinical Radiology setting preferred
  • Current State Licensure required
  • Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
  • Nuclear Medicine Technologist registration from ARRT or NMTCB required
Salary and Benefits

Estimated salary range is $60,000-$80,000 per year based on location and experience. Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
