Logistics Analyst at SMX Corporation

The Logistics Analyst will provide support to the U.S. Army Counterintelligence G6 in managing property. This position may involve physical activities such as lifting items, reaching, bending, and kneeling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the organization's processes for the procurement, receipt, distribution, and disposal of IT assets and supplies. This encompasses maintaining control over delivered items, registering orders in relevant databases, notifying customers of equipment arrivals, scheduling installations, transporting equipment, preparing for installation, executing installations, and managing final disposal.
  • Execute logistics operations under the supervision of the organization's logistics manager, in coordination with the Technical Task Manager (TTM).
  • Maintain the inventory of IT systems hardware and software in the designated Configuration Management Databases (CMDB), ensuring at least 95% accuracy.
  • Provide weekly documentation to the TTM that confirms the reconciliation of warehouse, procurement, logistics, and asset management activities, which will be used to update the organization's inventory system.
  • Oversee the transportation of classified and unclassified IT equipment and materials, including spare parts, to meet task order requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) for the shipment of controlled materials.
  • Manage customs issues related to global transportation of IT materials.
  • Implement supply discipline by applying the principles of the Command Supply Discipline Program (CSDP).
  • Participate in logistics support management team meetings and program management reviews.
  • Configure, install, test, certify, and troubleshoot network cabling infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance of network cabling with current NIST and TEMPEST standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve network infrastructure issues across various networks.
  • Update documentation related to cable runs and installations as necessary.
  • Interpret system installation drawings and apply this knowledge to cabling tasks.
  • Foster a safe working environment and promote safe work practices.

Qualifications

  • Clearance Requirement: Top Secret/SCI with willingness to undergo a CI Polygraph.
  • Education: High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's Degree with 6 years of experience, or a Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A).
  • Understanding of the Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL) process.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
  • Must pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Intermediate Level II certification in Acquisition Logistics is preferred.
  • Ability to lift objects up to 30lbs and perform moderately strenuous activities.

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience with the Army, ACIC, or INSCOM.
  • Compliance with DoD 8140 requirements: Security + certification.
  • Intermediate Level II certification in Acquisition Logistics.
