- Seating and Table Management: Seat guests by finding a clean, available table, pulling out chairs, and placing a clean menu in front of guests.
- Phone and Reservations: Answer incoming phone calls in a timely manner and manage reservations using Open Table, Resy, and other reservations platforms.
- Supporting Servers: Assist servers when needed and ensure that guests receive prompt and attentive service.
- Opening and Closing Duties: Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up and cleaning the dining area.
- Teamwork: Work cohesively with co-workers throughout the restaurant to ensure a positive and efficient dining experience.
- Experience: Prior host or other front-of-house experience in a high-volume restaurant operation.
- Skills: Excellent customer service, cash handling, service recovery, and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with computer proficiency required.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 lbs, and to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
