Leadership Development at Spruce Lake Summer Camp

The Leader in Training program is an excellent opportunity for individuals to gain hands-on experience in serving at Spruce Lake Summer Camp, a great stepping stone to becoming part of the camp ministry team in the future.

This two-week leadership training session is designed for ages 16-18 and includes a cost of $229.

The program builds on experiences from the Jr LIT Program and includes opportunities to serve, be discipled by LIT Mentors, and spend time with campers in the Day Camp and Overnight Camp programs.

Sr LITs will spend one week with a Day Camp group and one week with an Overnight Wilderness Camp group, plus service in other areas during both weeks.

This experience allows participants to gain a behind-the-scenes look at Spruce Lake Summer Camp and determine if it would be a good fit for them.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore different roles, including camp counselor or support team tracks for Leaders in Training, which include the kitchen, office, media, or facilities team.

This program is ideal for teens with a heart for serving kids through camp ministry and can help propel them into an awesome summer ministry role at Spruce Lake in the future.
