As a key member of Como Compounding, you will take on the essential role of a Compounding Pharmacy Technician. Your expertise will ensure the preparation and distribution of compounded medications while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Compounding Excellence: Skillfully mix, package, and label pharmaceuticals while adhering to stringent quality standards. Maintain accurate records and utilize advanced computer systems for precise labeling. Collaborate with pharmacists to guarantee compliance with sterile compounding regulations, including USP 797 and USP 800.
Attention to Detail: Demonstrate proficiency in calculating dosage volumes, converting measurements, and ensuring the accuracy of documentation and billing. Work closely with pharmacists and prescribers to troubleshoot and resolve any order discrepancies.
Sanitation Standards: Uphold a clean and sterile workspace by performing and documenting cleaning protocols, conducting environmental testing, and ensuring the proper disposal of compounding materials.
Controlled Substance Management: Adhere to all protocols for the handling and dispensing of controlled substances, ensuring accountability and security at all times.
Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining organized and well-stocked shelves. Participate in inventory control, order processing, and manage recalls effectively. Inspect and quarantine outdated components to ensure stock integrity.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed and compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain a safe work environment and be prepared to undertake additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of one year in a similar role.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull objects up to 50 lbs. Frequent movement including sitting, standing, and walking, with strong vision and hearing capabilities.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, ability to manage diverse tasks and equipment, and strong communication skills.
