Power Generation Project Lead

We are seeking an experienced Electric Power Project Lead to lead our team in the planning, execution, and completion of projects involving diesel-powered generators.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power generation systems and project management, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead all phases of project management from initiation to closure, including defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Technical Oversight: Manage the installation and commissioning of diesel generators up to 2MW, ensuring proper paralleling of multiple gensets and integration with switchgear.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, sales, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Budget and Schedule Management: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and change orders.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the power generation industry, with a focus on diesel generators and paralleling systems.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of diesel generator systems, paralleling multiple gensets, and switchgear integration.
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
