About the Role

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team in a long-term care setting. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide resident-centered care, including daily living assistance, bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing/undressing
  • Assist with basic health care needs, including vital sign collection, range of motion exercises, and passive exercises
  • Support residents with meals and snacks, providing water and supplements as needed
  • Aid providers and nursing staff members with procedures, as required
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to care, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse

Requirements

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred
  • Satisfactorily complete yearly department-specific competency testing and maintain continuing education credits
