Job Summary:

The Advanced Products and Solutions division of Raytheon Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Integrated Project Team (IPT) Lead for a multi-discipline engineering team supporting Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) products in a factory production environment. The individual must be self-motivated and will work with a cross-functional team including engineering, factory management, program management, and operations assembly and test. This position will reside in the Surveillance Manufacturing Engineering department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing daily assignments and metrics related to engineering efficiency and response times
  • Leading team tasked with resolving technical issues, improving test yields, and reducing test cycle time
  • Troubleshooting systems failing test, identifying failure cause, and dispositioning hardware for repair
  • Operation of mechanical, electrical, and optical test equipment
  • Investigation of failure trends for root cause and implementation of corrective actions
Requirements:
  • University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) related discipline and 5 years' engineering / manufacturing experience or an Advanced STEM Degree and minimum 3 years' engineering / manufacturing experience
  • Past experience leading root cause corrective action investigations
  • Leadership / mentorship experience
  • Experience reading mechanical drawings and/or electrical schematics
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting or developing an Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) product
  • Experience with EO/IR systems in a production environment
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in data analysis for identifying trends and improvement opportunities
  • Basic electrical engineering knowledge such as understanding of Op-Amps, Multiplexers, ADC/DAC, etc.
  • Basic mechanical engineering knowledge dimensional tolerances or testing and troubleshooting
  • Basic systems engineering knowledge such as flow down of system requirements to test
  • Experience managing priorities on multiple tasks

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
