Job Description

At Advertising Specialty Institute, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Financial Analyst to play a pivotal role in leading month-end close processes, updating and reviewing account reconciliations, and leading budgeting and forecasting processes.

This role will report to the FP&A Manager and meet with various internal business partners monthly. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to interact and work well with all levels of management.

The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $90,000.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage various expense divisions including the monthly close process, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and the preparation of journal entries.
  • Provide executive-facing expense commentary within recurring reporting deliverables.
  • Review account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness and act when necessary.
  • Assist in creating dynamic reporting packages and/or dashboards for expense review meetings which provide visibility into department cost performance.
  • Manage and update appropriate financial reports.
  • Prepare all ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 - 6 years of proven and progressive experience in a Finance role, including month-end close, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • A strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator with the ability to interact and work well with all levels of management.
  • Track record of building strong relationships business partners.
  • High degree of financial competence, knowledge of US GAAP and basic Accounting.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office, Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge with an emphasis on the advanced formulas including VLOOKUP's, If's, pivot tables, choose, if error, SUMIF, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task and shift focus as priorities change.
  • Experience with Accounting and financial reporting systems
