We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Associate - Material Handler to join our team at Specialty Products and Insulation.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for operating a vehicle, delivering materials to job sites or customer locations, and ensuring timely delivery. Your role will also involve creating efficient delivery routes, maintaining accurate driver's logs, and loading/unloading orders.
Main Responsibilities- Transportation: Safely operate a vehicle and deliver materials to job sites or customer locations.
- Route Optimization: Create efficient delivery routes to maximize time and trucks.
- Logistics Management: Maintain driver's log, corporate gas cards, and ensure material is shipped, received, stored, and allocated correctly.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload orders, maintain packing specifications, and create suitable skids/pallets.
- Safety and Maintenance: Operate forklifts and other company equipment, maintain warehouse appearance and safety.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and participate in physical inventories.
- A valid driver's license and DOT medical card.
- The ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack.
- BASIC knowledge of warehouse operations, math skills, and teamwork.
- Familiarity with materials and units of measure.
- The ability to write legibly and communicate clearly.
Our estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000. This figure takes into account the cost of living, industry standards, and the level of experience required for the role.
