Denali Rail Host

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Denali Rail Host - Travel Ambassador to join our team at Holland America-Princess Alaska-Yukon Land Operations. As a key member of our Rail Division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing unforgettable travel experiences to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accompany guests on our rail services, providing expert knowledge and recommendations for dining, entertainment, and excursions.
• Communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and exceptional guest experiences.
• Manage manifests and maintain accurate records of tour availability to ensure efficient operations.
• Present information to large groups of guests, using a microphone to ensure everyone hears and understands the information.
• Process sales and handle guest inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist with Food & Beverage operations and reconcile tour sales as needed.

Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handlers Card.
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.
• Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
