Position SummaryThe IT Principal for Risk and Compliance will take charge of developing and executing strategies related to internal policies, processes, controls, documentation, and training that pertain to cybersecurity risk management and compliance. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our cybersecurity framework.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee compliance activities, establishing and maintaining processes to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on change management, incident reporting, and response strategies.
- Support the enterprise-wide cyber risk strategy by identifying and classifying risks, defining tolerances, prioritizing mitigation efforts, and measuring risk levels.
- Advise senior management on the implications of governance, risk, and compliance requirements; collaborate with industry peers to shape future standards.
- Review and update cybersecurity policies and minimum standards to align with business objectives and regulatory requirements; manage metrics and exception processes.
- Lead the enterprise-wide cybersecurity awareness training program to promote effective security practices across the organization.
- Facilitate NERC CIP audits for application controls, serving as a subject matter expert and providing ongoing support for compliance initiatives.
- Guide and mentor project teams, employees, contractors, and interns to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Utilize a blend of technical and business acumen to drive success in a team-oriented setting focused on client service.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 8 years in an information systems support role, with experience in project leadership across diverse scenarios.
- Strong technical knowledge of application development practices coupled with excellent analytical capabilities.
- Must meet security requirements for access to critical cyber assets, including a background investigation.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems/Technology.
- Proven ability to influence peers on cybersecurity issues.
- In-depth knowledge of current and emerging cybersecurity threats.
- Demonstrated experience in talent development and team building.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity program structures, processes, and contemporary trends.
- Understanding of compliance and regulations related to IT risk management and cybersecurity.
- Experience in Threat and Vulnerability Analysis and Management.
- Knowledge of Data, Network, and Application security.
- Experience in change and configuration management.
- Familiarity with various cybersecurity technologies.
