Responsibilities:

Key Challenges:
As a Senior Construction Engineering Project Manager, you will oversee all personnel involved in roadway or bridge project inspections and management. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Efficiently managing manpower and ensuring client satisfaction with staff levels.
  • Directing a complex construction engineering administration and inspection program.
  • Planning and organizing the work of subordinate staff members.
  • Developing and reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with Department standards through program reviews.
  • Managing intricate highway projects to align with plans and specifications.
  • Coordinating personnel with clients and collaborating closely with contractors to resolve issues.
  • Overseeing project budgets and coordinating with local stakeholders.
  • Forecasting workload and identifying future project opportunities.

Qualifications:

What You Bring:
To be successful in this role, you should possess a degree in Civil Engineering and hold a Professional Engineer license in the State of Florida (or the ability to obtain it within six months if licensed in another state). Additionally, you should have:
  • Six (6) years of engineering experience, with two (2) years focused on relevant transportation projects.
  • Experience with Complex Category 2 (CC2) and PTS bridge structures.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • The ability to lead complex construction engineering programs effectively.
  • Experience in planning and organizing the work of staff members.
