CRNA - Float Position

GI Alliance is in search of a skilled CRNA - Float to deliver exceptional anesthesia care across various locations.

Position Overview:
As a CRNA - Float, you will provide high-quality anesthesia services under the supervision or delegation of a physician, adapting to multiple site environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to diverse healthcare facilities within the designated region.
  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic evaluations and obtain patient consent.
  • Select and administer appropriate analgesic and anesthetic agents as required.
  • Manage all aspects of airway support.
  • Oversee patient emergence and recovery from anesthesia, ensuring stability during transitions.
  • Initiate post-anesthesia cardiovascular and respiratory support as needed.
  • Conduct follow-up evaluations and care post-anesthesia.
  • Discharge patients from the recovery unit.
  • Monitor vital signs closely and respond to any adverse reactions to medications.
  • Ensure timely termination of anesthesia to promote patient safety.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education:
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) is required. A valid CRNA certification is mandatory, along with BLS and ACLS certifications, adhering to state regulations.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of progressive experience in a multispecialty physician group setting is preferred.

Performance Expectations:
  • Ability to transport patients safely between various locations.
  • Demonstrated clinical proficiency as a nurse anesthetist.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with clinical teams.
  • Knowledge and skills to provide patient care tailored to specific needs.
  • Understanding of infection control practices.
  • Ability to assess patient requirements across different age groups.
  • Proficient in using technical equipment and computer systems.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Self-driven with a proactive approach.
  • Commitment to legal and ethical nursing standards.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Timely completion of documentation for billing and credentialing.
  • Participation in mandatory training and educational sessions.
  • Adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Work Environment:
This role operates primarily in outpatient healthcare facilities.

Physical Requirements:
While performing job duties, the employee may need to stand, walk, sit, use hands for various tasks, reach, climb, balance, kneel, and occasionally lift or move up to 150 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
