Bone Marrow Transplant Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Bone Marrow Transplant team at Medical City Dallas. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients undergoing bone marrow transplants.
Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy treatments, including investigational protocols, and manage patients with radiation implants, central venous access devices, and spinal drains.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, incorporating patient teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from Texas Board of Nurse Examiners. Compact license is accepted. BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Current BLS- Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
- Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in oncology.
- ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS required within one year of hire.
