Job Title: Controller

New Hope Services Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to lead our day-to-day finance operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and leadership, with a proven track record of success in managing financial systems, processes, and teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and grants administration functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement financial systems, processes, and controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • Manage and supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality performance.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Collaborate with the CFO and other stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, laws, and standards, including tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage and reconcile cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to other departments, including program management, human resources, and facilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting or accounting department required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with GAAP required.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and developing accounting teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop recommendations.
  • Proficiency in financial software, including accounting systems, spreadsheets, and financial modeling tools.
