Job Summary

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Senior Platform Engineer to join our Workday Security team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of security measures to protect our Workday environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage security controls for the Workday environment to ensure robust and effective security configurations and integrations.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and risks within the Workday environment, collaborating with the risk management team to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Implement and manage role-based access controls (RBAC) to ensure appropriate access levels for users, regularly reviewing and updating access permissions to maintain compliance and security.
  • Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents related to the Workday environment, participating in root cause analysis and remediation efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry best practices, contributing to the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Work closely with IT, HR, and other business units to understand security requirements and integrate security measures into business processes, providing technical support and guidance to stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices, proactively suggesting improvements to enhance the security posture of the Workday environment.
  • Support SOX audit activities by ensuring Workday security controls are in place and functioning as intended, preparing documentation and evidence to demonstrate compliance with SOX requirements.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
  • At least 4 years of experience in information security.
  • At least 3 years of Workday Security experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, 5+ years of experience in Workday security administration, Workday Pro Certification in Security, 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure or another cloud service, and 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
