Job Summary

As a CDL B Local Delivery Truck Driver at Sysco, you will be responsible for delivering containers to sites in a safe and timely manner. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve cargo from various cargo services
  • Ensure air containers, pallets, loads, and equipment are transported safely and securely
  • Complete and submit all vehicle reports, receiving documents, trip sheets, and other related paperwork in a timely manner
  • Receive and account for all cargo and submit receipts
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle
  • Accountable for collection of COD accounts
  • Report all accidents to the Driver Supervisor immediately
  • Log break, lunch times, and follow the route on the trip sheet
  • Able to demonstrate regular and reliable attendance
  • Able to work overtime as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • Produce industry experience preferred
  • CDL B license required
  • Forklift proficiency and certification required
  • Maintains licensure and PUC certificates
