Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the scheduling and deployment of rail yard staff to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Oversee the preparation and loading of railcars, ensuring that all units are properly handled and accounted for.
  • Verify unit numbers and coordinates on all inbound and outbound trains to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Switch and Ramp crews to identify and resolve operational issues, ensuring smooth and efficient flow of the rail yard.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall goals and objectives of the rail yard.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in rail yard operations or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in coordinating and managing rail yard staff and operations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
