The LPN-Resident role is a critical position within our Nurse Residency Program, designed to support the development of new graduate nurses and LPNs with less than one year of experience.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in Quality and Core Curriculum Classes: Attend all scheduled classes and actively engage in professional development workshops and peer support groups.
- Complete Clinical Competencies and Validation Requirements: Successfully complete all clinical competencies and validation requirements of the Nurse Residency Program.
- Work under Supervision: Work under the direct and indirect supervision of the Clinical Education Team while refining nursing knowledge and skills.
- Manage Clinical Situations: Actively participate in managing clinical situations for which he/she is assigned under the direct supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.
- LPN Program Completion: Completion of a LPN program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing.
- Licensure: Licensed to practice as a LPN in South Carolina.
- Comprehensive Training: Participate in the Nurse Residency Program, which combines foundational and specialty-specific clinical core curriculum, quality classes, simulation, one-on-one skills validation, hands-on application with clinical mentors, and professional development.
- Supportive Environment: Work in a supportive environment with a team of experienced nurses and educators.
