Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at The Carolina Center for Behavioral Health. As a LPN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our psychiatric programs.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in treatment planning, identifying patients' problems, needs, and strengths, and suggesting modifications to treatment plans based on observations of patients' behavior.
  • Implement patients' treatment plans by monitoring progress, communicating information regarding patients' behavior to other members of the treatment team, and maintaining communication with patients, family members, and referral sources.
  • Update treatment care plans and assist dietary staff in identifying patients on special diets and ensuring patients' compliance with dietary orders.
  • Administer patient medications prescribed by physicians and maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment for patients.
  • Effectively manage psychiatric crisis emergency situations and maintain patient, program, department, and related documentation.
Qualifications
  • LPN program completion from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • CPR training will be provided.
  • South Carolina LPN license with current registration required.
  • Multi-state license with South Carolina included in the compact is also acceptable.
