Physician and Surgeon, Correctional Facility

The State of California is seeking a highly skilled Physician and Surgeon, Correctional Facility to join our team. As a key member of our correctional health care team, you will provide medical care to patients in a correctional facility, ensuring their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical assessments and treatment to patients as appropriate and authorized by medical license
- Collaborate with midlevel providers and other staff to provide clinical consultation and instruction on medical protocols
- Adhere to professional medical standards of care and maintain accurate records
- Participate in on-call duties as assigned
- Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of medicine in California as determined by the Medical Board of California or the California Board of Osteopathic Examiners
- Possession of a valid internal medicine or family medicine Medical or Osteopathic Specialty Certificate issued by an American Medical Specialty Board or an American Osteopathic Specialty Board
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and maintain confidentiality
